Olive Polyphenols prevent and repair cellular damage caused by free radicals, prevent oxidation of low density lipoproteins, reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, improve glucose metabolism and skin health. Resveratrol a powerful polyphenol found in several types of plants, including red grapes, blueberries, and nuts. Resveratrol works inside every cell in the body to help rejuvenate the mitochondria, the powerhouses that keep cells functioning properly.

Rosa canina (fruits)

Rosa canina is a wild shrub species found throughout Europe as well as other temperate parts of the world. Its fruit, commonly known as rose hip or dog rose, is a favorite of traditional medicine and highly nutritious. Rose hip has been shown to contain great amounts of vitamin C, to which it owes its strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties as well as its slightly sour, acidic taste. Several studies suggest the fruit can significantly reduce pain and improve mobility in rheumatoid arthritis sufferers as a result of its potent anti-inflammatory properties. Rose hip alleviates joint pain through its immunosuppressive effects. The immune system can contribute to rheumatic diseases. An inflammatory cytokine called Interleukin 1-Beta (IL-1β) causes cartilage cells to produce proteins that digest and break down join tissue. In moderation, this process encourages cell turnover, but in excess, this process contributes to long-term joint tissue degradation, which is what causes joint problems. While rose hip doesn’t reduce IL-1β levels in the blood, it interferes with its ability to activate catabolic proteins.
Rose hip is also able to reduce chemotaxis, which is the transportation of immune cells into tissue. This serves as both an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive mechanism.

Andrographis paniculata

Andrographis paniculata, also known as kalmegh in Ayurvedic medicine, is a flowering plant native to India and Sri Lanka. The leaves and stems of andrographis have been used in traditional Asian medicine for centuries. Some of its traditional uses include helping with diabetes, dysentery, flu & cold infections, bronchitis, and digestive issues. Clinical research confirms that andrographis has a number of beneficial properties, including anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and immunostimulatory activities. Today andrographis is particularly popular in Sweden and other Scandinavian countries for fighting off cold & flu infections. The precise mechanisms behind the immunity benefits of andrographis are not yet known. However scientific studies demonstrating, increased macrophage & natural killer cell activity, enhanced production of antigens to counter harmful microbes and improved phagocytosis. Andrographolide, the main active ingredient of andrographis, has been shown to disrupt viruses by interfering with their replication. Andrographis supplements are used to support overall immune function, which includes fighting off colds, influenza, and other acute respiratory infections. The antioxidant potential of pomegranate  is more than that of red wine and green tea, which is induced through ellagitannins and hydrosable tannins. Pomegranate can reduce macrophage oxidative stress, free radicals, and lipid peroxidation. Moreover, pomegranate fruit extract prevents cell growth and induces apoptosis, which can lead to its anticarcinogenic effects. In addition, promoter inhibition of some inflammatory markers and their production are blocked via ellagitannins.
